Mission Statement

Tis from these words that the Mentor Advancement Group of Eorzea draws the spirit of its mission, to serve as a beacon to brave Adventurers whom are just starting their journey into the land we call home, Eorzea. We who have challenged its terrors and overcome the greatest of threats to become the pinnacles of what one might achieve... We should always strive to up-lift those who follow in our footsteps, to afford them the greatest of benefit from our strength and knowledge that they may one day join us in the struggle to protect and promote our beloved world bathed in the Light of Hydaelyn.

Those whom serve as Mentors are in possession of a duty far greater than that of any ordinary Adventurer for it is our image, our likeness, do those who come after us seek to emulate. To that end a Mentor must hold themselves to the highest of standards, to the pinnacle of their craft that they might guide those who look up to them to become the very best that they might be. Our pride is not all in that which we have achieved but in how our victories have shaped us into the people that can teach and guide those who have yet to find their way.

We are the ones who have discovered the paths through this realm, from our first days within it’s great and lustrous lands. From the Forests of the Shroud to the Shores of Limsa to the Burning Sands of Ul’dah we have traveled, strived and overcome everything that fate has chosen to set in our path. Now we become the light that will guide others along these paths. Tis our duty to see that our lights serve as welcoming beacons and not as blinding glare. We are Mentors, we are the Heros of Hydaelyn’s History and we are the keepers of Her future. Walk always in the Light of the Crystal.

Statement of Purpose:

M.A.G.E. sets itself forth as a coalition of mentors across the realms dedicated to providing guidance and insight to the realm of Eorzea and all the peoples within.

Members of M.A.G.E. shall adhere to the following core principles:

  • The position of Mentor is that of service to the community at large and as-such all members shall maintain the standards of etiquette and respect associated with the position.

  • Membership in M.A.G.E. is a statement in a belief in working towards a common goal to further the knowledge and experience of all those we encounter, whether newcomer or seasoned veteran.

  • Members of M.A.G.E. commit themselves to supplying, to the best of their ability, the most accurate and up-to-date information possible, deferring to others when their own personal knowledge is not as complete.

  • Members of M.A.G.E. do not view themselves to be in a position that is inherently superior to any other person or persons they interact with. We value an Egalitarian philosophy where all possess equivalent potential despite any personal differences.

  • We hold that there are no individuals that are incapable of improvement provided they commit themselves to engaging in the necessary measures to advance themselves.

  • We believe that the path to the best results for mentor and pupil is both challenging and supportive. We do not encourage or condone any methods that are abusive, disrespectful or in any other way harmful to the person or persons engaged.

The great land of Eorzea tis one of countless wonder, boundless mystery and unknown peril. A land steeped in Magic and Elemental beauty cradled in the loving hands of Hydaelyn’s light. Many art those that wouldst wander its lofty peaks and delve to the deepest of dungeons in search of meanings and memories lost to the twilight of histories past.

Yet as it always shall be, such ventures bear upon them perils that wouldst be equal to their worth, wherest evil layeth in ill repose till the day when those unwitting or unwary would break their fragile slumbers. Ware thee brave souls whom wouldst journey to places yet unknown, daring Adventurers whom wouldst challenge fate’s unshaken resolve, lest ye find yerself in contest with more than thou canst keep in hand.
